The HFC has a lightweight plastic mouthpiece that moves vertically.
Instead of pushing/releasing the button as you would on a standard chromatic, you can move the mouthpiece
down about 4mm by nodding your head about 1.5 degrees. In its "UP" home position, the mouthpiece
directs your breath to the natural reeds on the upper reedplate. In its "DOWN" position, the
mouthpiece directs your breath to the
sharp and flat reeds on the lower reedplate. Two tiny, hidden springs
assist in returning the mouthpiece to its original "up" position.

By placing the HFC on a "neck rack" type holder, you can play all 48 of the natural and
sharp/flat notes without using your hands.
